
Award
One (1) one-time scholarship award of HK$16,000 for a secondary school graduate
from Hong Kong to pursue undergraduate study at a U.S. university.
Eligibility
Requirements
Students must fulfill ALL the following criteria to
apply:
1. Permanent resident
of Hong Kong
2. Received at least 5 years of continuous education in a secondary school in
Hong Kong.
3. Currently enrolled as a full-time student in Secondary 6 or 7 of a secondary
school in Hong Kong for the year 2007-2008.
4. Successfully gained admission to an undergraduate degree program at a U.S.
four-year college or university as a first-year student in the fall of 2008.

The completed application form and supporting documents should be submitted
together, in person or by mail, directly to the Institute of International Education

Application forms can be obtained from the Institute of International Education’s office or online.
All application materials must be received by April 15, 2008 to receive full consideration. The scholarship recipient will be announced on the program website in June 2008.

The American Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation
The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AmCham) Charitable Foundation
was established in 1985 and is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of the
past chairmen of AmCham who are residents in Hong Kong. The Foundation's overall
aims and objectives are to raise funds and contribute to educational, training,
and other charitable projects, which will promote its charitable objectives
and at the same time have a long-reaching and therefore beneficial effect on
the recipients.
In recent years, the Foundation has placed increased emphasis on educational
projects in Hong Kong in order to demonstrate its long-term commitment to the
Hong Kong community. The AmCham Charitable Foundation is a registered charitable
organization and as such, enjoys a tax exemption status. All contributions to
the Foundation are tax deductible. The Board of Trustees is empowered to invest
the Foundation's trust fund and utilizes only the accrued interest of the fund
to support Foundation programs.
