Organizations
Small businesses, multinationals and government

to make personnel decisions that include:
| ¡D |

and promoting |
| ¡D |
Job training |
| ¡D |
Overseas assignments |
| ¡D |
On-site language
training |

To demonstrate
learning progress in corporate training |
Test scores show if an employee has the necessary
English language skills to:
| ¡D |
Carry
out specific job responsibilities |
| ¡D |
Participate in
(and benefit from) training that is conducted
in English |
| ¡D |
Work and interact
successfully with native-English speaking clients
or branch offices |
| ¡D |
Work and interact
successfully if posted in an English-speaking
country |
| ¡D |
Advance within
the organization-or if further English language
training is needed |
The scores are useful for Human Resources managers,
training managers, and recruiters. By reviewing
the Can-Do Guide provided by ETS, you can gain a
sense of how scores might fit with particular job
roles in your company. For example, a customer relationship
manager might need a score of 900 to perform well
in that role. Using TOEIC scores to benchmark English
proficiency can help you spot and hire the right
person, for the long term.
A general guideline is listed below. With the assistance
of a TOEIC test representative, scores can be customized
and linked to specific job tasks and proficiency
levels within each organization. The test is a practical
and more reliable alternative to oral interviews.
Corporations are welcome to arrange on-site testing
for their employees for groups of 20 or more. Testing
service is provided on demand. Simply contact IIE
to make arrangements. Tests are scored by IIE and
results are ready within 2-3 business days. TOEIC
scores from tests administered on-site are intended
for internal use only.

English language schools,
Universities and other institution can become Authorized
TOEIC® Testing Centers (ATTC) providing they
meet formal requirements. Authorized TOEIC Testing
Centers are allowed to test students enrolled in
formal courses within the School. There are stringent
guidelines with regards to becoming a registered
ATTC. After Accreditation is complete, we have a
special logo that we provide to each School to use
for marketing/advertising purposes. Testing through
a school or college is called Institutional Testing,
and is attractive to students because of the simplicity
and ease of assessment processes, the regularity
of testing, and because of the stress free implications
of doing the test in a familiar setting along with
fellow friends and students.
The simple and cost effective Institutional Testing
process enables the student to sit the test once
per month if they wish and gauge their progress
over time, avoiding the long delays, high costs,
and complex administration procedures in alternate
forms of testing.
TOEIC Proctors - To administer the TOEIC
Test, you must be registered with us as a TOEIC
Proctor. There are stringent guidelines regarding
administering the TOEIC Test to candidates and becoming
a qualified TOEIC Proctor. We will assist and train
you as required in order for you to become a TOEIC
Proctor. To find out more about becoming a registered
TOEIC Proctor please contact IIE for the application
form and further information.
TOEIC Administration Procedures & Supplement
- The TOEIC Administration Procedures & Supplement
guides are essential to the flawless administration
of the TOEIC Test. The Official Administration Procedures
Manual outlines all the information related to receiving
test materials, selecting a testing room, running
a testing session and more. The TOEIC Supplement
is designed to be used during the whole test session.
It provides instructions word for word, and also
provides the Language and Country codes to assist
candidates to fill in their answer sheet 100% correctly.
The TOEIC Proctor must use the Supplement Guide
during every test session.
Individuals
Non native English speakers may want to take the
TOEIC test on their own to demonstrate to themselves
and future employers their English proficiency.
The test is an excellent addition to your resume
when applying for a new job or obtaining credentials.
It is fully supported by the Workplace English Campaign.
