The Hong Kong alumni of Vincennes University (VU) are proud to announce the Hong Kong - Vincennes Scholarship, an exciting new scholarship that will allow promising students to study engineering, math or other science-related subjects for 2 years at Vincennes University.

Vincennes University (VU) 的香港同學會很高興地宣佈一個專為香港和澳門學生(由2008年增加中國內地學生)前往美國攻讀工程, 數學和與科學有關係的大學學科的獎學金。

關於 Vincennes University
Founded in 1801, VU is one of the oldest 2-year colleges in America. Located in Indiana, VU offers 2-year transfer programs that provide the academic foundation for completing virtually any baccalaureate degree. Past alumni have gone on to such universities as Stanford, M.I.T., Purdue and University of Wisconsin. Over 600 students from Hong Kong have graduated from VU since the 1970s. Scholarship Details 獎學金的細節
The scholarship will allow up to 10 students from Hong Kong and Macau to study engineering, math or other science-related subjects at VU for The average regular yearly cost to attend VU is around US$20,000 (tuition and housing). The Vincennes University Scholarship, in the amount of US$6,000 per year per student, will be offered to qualified students from Hong Kong and Macau to study engineering or other related subjects in the Math & Science Division at VU for two years (2008-2010). An additional scholarship, in the amount of US$3,000 per year per student, will be offered to students studying in any major. Starting in 2008, two scholarship slots will be offered to students from the Mainland.

就讀VU的每年總共開支(包學費食宿雜費)為2萬美元。VU及香港同學會有兩項獎學金：分別給於每得獎者每年6千美金和3千元美金, 為期兩年，總共名額十名。前者限於來自香港或澳門而且攻讀工程,數學和與科學有關係的學科的學生，後者不論學科。由2008年起, 獎學金將撥出2個名額, 提供給中國內地學生。

Eligibility for the Scholarship 資格

You must fulfill all the following criteria to apply:

• Currently studying in Hong Kong Form 5 (or equivalent, e.g. China high school senior) or above
• Priority given to students planning to major in Engineering or other subject in VU Math & Science Division
• For the Vincennes Hong Kong Alumni Scholarship, a minimum of 3 credits in HKCEE, or for Form 5 students, placement in the top 25% of class during the past two years of study. An equivalent standard of academic performance for students from the Mainland.

• 現讀(香港)中五或以上
• 打算前往美國攻讀工程, 數學和與科學有關係的大學學科優先
• 香港中學會考3科良以上成績，沒有香港中學會考資格者，有連續兩年在同屆學生中得到前25%的成績。中國內地學生按相應標準。
